Soft Play Centres in and around Gloucester
I never thought the day would come where I shout ‘Hooray, soft play centres are open!’, but after so long out of action and a hectic Summer it’s nice to let the children run wild whilst I observe from the sidelines with a coffee in hand. Plus, the days will soon be getting colder and wetter so it’s nice to to shelter from time to time and a great way to have a catch up with friends at the same time.
Here’s your guide to where you can find Soft Play Centres in and around Gloucester.
Pingo’s at Tenpin
What to expect:
From slides and tunnels there’s plenty to keep the children entertained. It’s for ages 12 and under or a height restriction of 140cm. There is a dedicated area for toddlers under 2. You can find it at the back of Tenpin. As you walk in you may get distracted by the arcade machines and/or bowling ally but once you’re in and the kids see the soft play area they’re happy. There is a large seating area for adults to sit and you can buy refreshments from the bar or vending machines.
They’re open Monday – Friday 10am – 6pm and Saturday – Sunday 10am – 7pm.
There is plenty of free parking on site.

- Toddler is age 1 & 2 years
- Junior is age 3 to 12 years
- Children must be 12 years or under and a height restriction of 140cm does apply.

Sessions are booked in 2 hour slots. Toddlers from £3.50, Juniors from £4.50
Fun Factory
What to expect:
You can find the Fun Factory at Oxstalls Sports Park. It’s designed for 8s and under and there is a dedicated area for under 2s. Children can jump, climb slide and explore in a secure area and there’s seating available for adults.
There is plenty of free parking on site.

Soft Play's Further Afield
Go Bananas Stroud
What to expect:
Go Bananas is an all weather indoor Play Centre offering Stroud and Gloucestershire a Fun alternative to get Children involved in Physical Exercise. We have something for the whole family from the little monkeys to the fully grown orangutans.
Whiz your way down the wavy Astra slide, swoosh down the half pipe into the ball pool pit, dare to cross the wobbly bridge and jump the star burst clouds…. or just run around with friends in a safe environment!
There is a cafe on site.

Dobbies Soft Play Tewkesbury
What to expect:
Tucked away behind the restaurant at Dobbies garden centre you’ll find the softplay. It’s suitable for under 8s and there’s a seating area within the softplay enclosure which is seperate from the restaurant so you can sit and watch you little ones letting off steam. The restaurant serves up breakfast, lunch and snacks with a dedicated children’s menu. Also on site is the outdoor mini-golf and you can spend times browsing the garden centre too.
Book online by selecting a store, picking a time slot, confirm your booking then pay on the day in store at the restaurant till. Walk ins are available however it’s recommended to book online to avoid disappointment as it does get busy.

Rugrats and Half Pints Cirencester
What to expect:
Rugrats and Half Pints is a unique children’s play centre providing a wide range of sensory and soft play activities for your little ones from birth to 13 years old.
For babies from 4 weeks old to 3 years, there's a large sensory area including bubble tubes, infinity tunnels, activity boards, rainbow tubes and touch walls. This is all set in the safety of an enclosed soft play area where your baby can be challenged by the climbing terrain and coasting walls. When they have mastered those they can enjoy the baby rocker, trampet and baby swings.
For the toddlers, they've added a brand new toddler frame and put in a lot of new features like ball jugglers, ball pool, a challenging track with slides and activity boards. From Monday to Friday, there are also Little Tyke Cars, DidiCars and Rollers for the little ones to use on a separate track.
The older children can bounce off that energy on the trampolines alongside the traditional soft play. With exciting features like fast slides, tyre swings, a donut swing, a disco area, perspex floors, zip wires and ball pit plus a lot of bash bags! At the weekends, they can also whiz round on the hugely popular Go Karts.
