Meeting Father Christmas is an enchanting and magical experience, and luckily for the children of Gloucester he will be making several appearances in and around the city on the build up to Christmas Day.

Gloucester Quays

Father Christmas will be making regular visits to his pop-up cabin in The Quays. Youngsters can take a festive walk to the traditional log cabin, surrounded by enchanting woodland, to meet Santa and receive their special gift. This immersive experience is aimed at children aged between one and nine and entry is £10 per child and adults go free. Prebooking is highly advisable.


The Wall's Club Christmas Party

On Sunday 2nd December, Santa will be making an appearance at The Wall's Christmas Party and will be handing out gifts to the children. There will also be an opportunity to have a professional photo taken with him to really remember the occassion. Tickets are £3.50-£5 and you can prebook for this event.


Hucclecote Community Association Children's Party

Hucclecote Community Association are hosting a Christmas party on Sunday 16th December, 4pm-6:30pm, and the big man himself will be making a special apperance! There will be music and food, and then Santa will bring each child a present. This event costs £6.50 per child, and adults are free. Make sure you book your ticket in advance.


Kings Walk Shopping Centre

Father Christmas will be greeting shoppers at Kingswalk Shopping Centre on Thursday 6 December and Saturday 15 December 1pm and 6pm, and from 10am to 2pm on Monday 24 December 2018. These are free of charge, and more details can be found here.


Gloucester Cathedral

On Saturday 8th December, the Cathedral will be hosting a number of beautiful carol services. These are free to attend and are sure to be dazzling. Not only will Father Christmas be making an appearance, but he will be bringing Oscar the Reindee with him too! They will be greeting guests in between carols in the Chapter House.
Carol service times are as follows:
11.00am - Cathedral Junior Choir

12.00noon – Cathedral Choir with boy & girl Choristers

1.00pm - Cathedral Choir with boy & girl Choristers

2.00pm – Cathedral Youth Choir

3.00pm - Cathedral Youth Choir

4.00pm – Gloucester Choral Society

Wyevale Garden Centre

From November 17th until December 24th, you can book to meet Father Christmas at the Wyevale Garden Centre in his Magical Grotto. Children will be able to meet Santa's helpers, enjoy some food, decorate Christmas biscuits, and then receive a gift from Father Chistmas himself. Children's tickets are £10.95, and adults are charged from £5 depending on their food choice.Prebooking is required.


Jet Age Museum

Father Christmas will be at the Jet Age Museum on Saturday 1st December, Sunday 2nd December, Saturday 8th December, and Sunday 9th December. Sessions run from 10:30am-1pm and 1:30pm-4pm. Tickets cost £7 per child, with all proceeds going to Jet Age Museum funds. More details here.


Saint James' Church Christmas Fair

Pick up a bargain at the annual Christmas Fayre, lots of stalls, refreshments and bouncy castle for children. PLUS a special visit from Santa! More details can be found here.


At The Edge Cafe, Coopers Edge

Tickets are £5 per child. This includes breakfast, drink and a present from Father Christmas. Booking is essential, see here for more details.


Prinknash Bird and Deer Park

Winter Wonderland is hosted every year at The Bird Park where children get to meet Santa in his hand crafted sleigh. You can even meet his reindeer! Adults £11.50 and children £13.50. More information and how to book tickets can be found here.
