Perryway Players are proud to announce the 2026 Family Pantomime will be The Wizard of Oz.

Directed by Craig Hunt and James Alderwick, written by Alex Jackson, follow the yellow brick road to laughter, magic, and mayhem in The Wizard of Oz, a pantomime adventure full of heart, hilarity, and high heels! When a whirlwind whisks Dorothy and Toto away to the fantastical land of Oz, her Aunt Em (the larger-than-life pantomime dame) is never far behind.

With the help of a brainless Scarecrow, a heartless Tin Man, and a cowardly Lion, Dorothy must defeat the Wicked Witch of the West and reach the mighty Wizard in Emerald City. But with a broken sat nav, talking scarecrows, and a cast of eccentric Ozians, things never go quite to plan.

Packed with witty jokes, audience participation, slapstick silliness, and toe-tapping tunes, this classic tale is reimagined for panto season with everything you’d expect including flying monkeys and the famous sparkly shoes. Perfect fun for all the family!
