Discover the fascinating life of one of Gloucestershire’s most famous historical figures this May Half Term with The Edward Jenner Trail at the Museum of Gloucester.
The Edward Jenner Trail

- Location: Museum of Gloucester, Brunswick Road, Gloucester
- Price: £1 per trail sheet
- Suitable for: Ages 4+
This family-friendly museum trail takes visitors through key moments and important people in the life of Dr Edward Jenner, the Gloucestershire scientist famous for developing the world’s first vaccine.
Children can explore the museum searching for clues and learning more about Jenner’s life, including his family, his work and even Blossom the cow, who played a very important role in the development of the smallpox vaccine.
Once the trail is completed, children will receive a small prize sticker at the end.
The trail is designed to be a fun and engaging way for families to learn about science, history and one of Gloucestershire’s most influential historical figures.
Please note: Trail sheets should be purchased from the Museum reception on arrival.
