Follow in a thousands years of footsteps and tales at Gloucester Cathedral this February Half Term...
Explore all the different ways stories are told and experienced at Gloucester Cathedral, including access to the hidden Cathedral Library for storytelling sessions!
Tuesday 17 February and Thursday 19 February 2026
11am-3pm
In the Chapter House and Cloister, you can expect to:
- try your hand at acting
- discover finger puppetry
- design a stained glass window
- take part in a mini LEGO® workshop led by our own LEGO® enthusiast Josh, who will have his own LEGO® cathedral on hand
Meanwhile, in the Medieval Library, Jarek, our storyteller, will be sharing stories and fables of monkeys, saints and dragons. All are welcome to come and see the library and celebrate the rich tradition of storytelling.
Activities will take place in the Chapter House, Cloister and Library.
Please note all activities are drop in and donations welcome. The LEGO® workshops will require booking on the day.
Please note the library will be open between from 10.30am-12.30pm and again 1.30pm-3.30pm and is accessed via 38 spiral steps.
