Junk Modelling Wednesdays at National Waterways Museum!

This summer, the Museum is celebrating the 150th anniversary of Llanthony Warehouse, its home in the Gloucester Docks. 

Throughout the summer, visitors will be able to take part in a celebration of the of the building - a very early example of a skyscraper - through trails and family activities.

On Wednesdays throughout the summer holidays the Museum will be hosting junk modelling sessions from 10.30am-2.30pm. Junk modelling is all about creating new and exciting things from discarded items. The whole family can join in, designing, investigating and problem solving as they bring their plans and ideas to life.
The models will then be on display during the Heritage Open Days on 8th and 9th September so come and have a go and get your creation in a museum!

Junk modelling is a drop in and self-guided activity but there will be someone from the Canal & River Trust Explorers team on hand to provide guidance if needed. 

The Museum is open 10am-4pm, Tuesday-Saturday, and on selected Sundays. Check social media for the most up to date information. The drop-in junk modelling session is free with an annual ticket or just buy your ticket on the day.

Child (5 and under) Free
Family £22.00. The entry ticket allows you to come back as many times as you like for 12-months.
