Get ready for a ROAR-some family weekend in Gloucester this June as dinosaurs take over the city centre for two days of prehistoric fun, live entertainment and interactive encounters.

Dino-ROAR Weekend 2026

Dino-ROAR Weekend promises an action-packed adventure for dinosaur fans of all ages, with roaming dinosaurs, live performances, fossil activities, crafts and hands-on experiences taking place throughout the city centre.

Dino-ROAR Schedule

11am – Roaming T-Rex Encounter

Come face to face with a giant roaming T-Rex as it stomps through Kings Square, creating jaw-dropping photo opportunities.

11:30am – Baby Dino Feeding Time

Meet adorable baby dinosaurs up close and help care for them during this hands-on interactive experience.

12pm – How to Train Your Dinosaur

This high-energy interactive show invites young adventurers to learn the secrets of handling a mischievous dinosaur with plenty of laughs and audience participation.

1:15pm – Dino Giants on the Move

Watch the mighty T-Rex and fearsome Megalosaurus roam Kings Square during this thrilling dinosaur walkabout.

2:15pm – How to Train Your Dinosaur

A second chance to enjoy this action-packed family dinosaur show.

3:15pm – Megalosaurus on the Move

See the towering Megalosaurus stalking through Kings Square in another spectacular dinosaur encounter.

Dino Crafts | 11am - 2pm

Join local artist Ally Goff at PATCH, The Forum to create and take home your own prehistoric masterpiece.

Children must be supervised during craft activities.

Fossil Handling | 11am - 12pm

Explore real fossils up close during this drop-in family session with the Visitor Experience Team. Families can handle items from the collection, learn more about pre-history and ask questions.

Suitable for children aged 3+.

Voluntary donations of £1 are welcomed to support the activity.
