Barnwood Arboretum
Barnwood Arboretum is a lovely outdoor area to take your little ones for a stroll, it has even been nominated as one of the UK's best parks. It has a number of quirky trees to expore, a duck pond, wild flowers growing seasonally, and on occassion a rogue friendly sheep or two!
The arboretum boasts itself on providing habitat for birds, insects and small mammals. The arboretum is grazed by Dexter cattle in the summer and sheep in the autumn/winter. In fact, the sheep that holiday there in the winter months are none other than the sheep from St James City Farm!
The Arboretum closes at 4:30pm October to March, and 7pm April to September.
For more information about the arboretum and events they host, check out their website.
