Spring Family Challenge Days at National Waterways Museum Gloucester.
Join the Canal & River Trust Explorers team at the National Waterways Museum Gloucester for a series of Spring Challenge Days. Families will be able to learn a new waterway skill, get competitive, go exploring or discover a new talent. There will be something different each spring Saturday between 10am - 2pm.
30th April - Get loading – Don’t sink the boat! How much can you load onto your plasticine boat?
7th May - Get knotted – learn the ropes with Explorers and make a boatman’s ‘cheese’
14th May - Get going – make your own boats and race them against each other
21st May - (Don’t) Get lost – learn how to use coordinates and follow instructions to find clues around the museum
28th May - Get Arty – learn how to paint like a narrowboat painter
The challenge days are drop in sessions and are included in the price of your museum entry or free if you have an annual ticket. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Your museum ticket lasts for 12-months so when you pay on your first visit, every visit after that is free for 12-months!
Ticket price: Adult (16+) - £8.50; Child (6-15) - £5.00; Child (5 and under) - Free; Family - £20.00; Concession - £7.50.
