Clevedon Marine Lake, Salthouse Fields, Clevedon BS21 7TR

We have had some absolutely brilliant days here recently, there’s something for everyone. Last time, we started with a picnic on the field, loads of space for ball games and gymnastics, plus a few trees for shade. After that, we spent a while in the skate park, then had a lovely walk to the hill fort. Such great views from up there!

Next, we walked/scooted along the promenade to the pier, where we stopped for an ice cream and a sit down on one of the many benches. You can pay to walk along the pier, but we didn’t do that yesterday.

Then it was on to the lake for a paddle and some water games. Finally, we rounded off the day with some chips by the water because nobody wanted to go home!

There’s also a mini golf course and a model railway. These weren’t open when we were there, but I’m sure you could contact them to check opening if those things are of interest.

Idea of potential costs…

Parking £7 all day. Free after 6pm. Download the MiPermit app before you go. The code is 708014. Get there early, because there were hardly any spaces left by 11am.

Ice cream £2.50 for a Mr Whippy with flake and sauce. This was the van closest to the pier.

2 x chicken nuggets and chips, plus a jumbo sausage £13. This was from the stall near the skate park.
