This years Pride event will be taking place on Saturday 14th September at Gloucester Park. We invite you to join us as we come together in celebration of Gloucestershires LGBTQ+ community. This years event will commemorate the 50th anniversery of the Stonewall Uprising and the birth of LGBTQ+ liberation.

On June 28th 1969 New York City Police raided the Stonewall Inn - located in Greenwhich Village, New York - forcibly removing customers and seizing cash. The events of that night, and all of those leading up to it, started several days worth of riots which led to the formation of The Gay Liberation Front and many other LGBT organisations. It is regarded by many as history's first major protest for equal rights for homosexuals.

At this years Pride event we aim to pay homage to the individuals who came before us and reflect on the movemet that inspired world wide action. This years Pride day will see several new attractions as well as some of last years favourites returning. We'll also be joined on the day by some of Gloucestershires LGBTQ+ groups and organisations - a perfect opportuntiy to found out what our amazing community has to offer.

This year we'll also be introducing a Family Zone to Gloucester Park for the first time. The Family Zone will be home to some fantastic children's entertainment as well as an array of child orientated stalls.
