Police and OPCC annual open day is back, bigger and better than ever before! The Chief Constable Rod Hansen and the Police and Crime Commissioner Martin Surl would like to invite you to the very special celebration, Saturday 14th September from 10am-3pm, where Gloucestershire Constabulary will open its doors to the public once again.
The FREE event, which will take place at Gloucestershire Constabulary's HQ in Quedgeley, is guaranteed to be a fun-filled and informative day out for all of the family as you’ll get a real insight into our modern police force.
You'll be able to get up close and personal with our fleet of police vehicles, drones unit, firearms unit and mounted unit. Our display arena will be jam-packed with demonstrations throughout the day and will see the return of our police dogs display and high-octane public order demonstration, plus much more!
There will also be an opportunity to get behind the scenes access to our custody suites and control room with our popular tours, and understand the complex nature of the work we do through a series of lectures throughout the day.
In addition to the above, you'll also be able to step back in time with our archive collection and discover Gloucestershire Constabulary's past. You'll also be able to learn about the forensic techniques used to solve crime with our forensic department. Our recruitment team will also be on hand to answer the questions of any budding police officers too. Alongside our police and OPCC representatives, we'll be joined by many partners, agencies and exhibitors!
